The Basics Princess Flippable Mattress brings long-term comfort to your home without stretching your budget. With a double-sided, reversible construction, this model allows you to rotate and flip regularly, extending its lifespan and maintaining its cozy feel longer than single-sided beds.
It offers a reversible 2-sided sleep system and features the ProACT innerspring by Hickory Springs. ProACT features patented InChex™ Technology, which uses alternating coil directions to improve stability, reduce motion transfer, and deliver more balanced support across the surface.
Engineered with upgraded cushioning and soft-touch quilting on both sides, this mattress delivers a gentle, more forgiving feel than our firmer Basics Royal model. Each side includes high-density foam and natural cotton layers to provide breathable, supportive comfort for kids, teens, and lightweight adults.
At 9 inches tall, it’s a versatile fit for bunk beds, platform frames, or guest setups. And since we handcraft every mattress to order in our Wisconsin factory, custom size or shapes are always available, without the retail markup.

The Basics Princess – Flippable is a flippable, two-sided mattress with the same comfort and transition construction on both sides of its central support system. It combines breathable natural fibers, resilient comfort foam, and a dependable ProACT innerspring, allowing the mattress to be turned regularly while maintaining the same feel from either sleep surface.
Comfort
- Knit Cover: A soft, flexible knit surface on each side of the mattress that moves naturally with the comfort materials below.
- 0.6 oz. per sq. ft. Cotton-Rayon Blend: A lightweight fiber layer on each side of the mattress that adds softness and creates a smoother transition into the cushioning material below.
- ¾ Inch of 1.2 lb. 28 ILD Foam: A firmer upholstery foam on each side of the mattress that adds durable cushioning and helps control excessive sink.
Transition
- 2.5 oz. per sq. ft. Natural Cotton: A breathable natural-cotton padding layer on each side of the mattress that adds resilient cushioning and helps separate the upholstery from the spring system.

- 1.4 oz. Cotton-Blend Insulator Pad: A durable insulator pad on each side of the mattress that helps stabilize the upholstery and protects it from direct contact with the spring system.
- 1.4 oz. Cotton-Blend Center-Third Insulator Pad: Positioned through the center third on each side of the mattress, this pad reinforces the hip and lumbar area while helping stabilize the materials above the spring system.
